Sport

Whether you’re at home shooting hoops, scoring the final touchdown, underwater, or even on a snowy mountain, Tahuna has a sport for you. As well as its large number of sports teams and regular aquatics lessons, school sport sessions are held weekly in the summer and winter with a wide choice of activities to choose from – miniball, volleyball, netball, rugby, soccer, tennis, squash, hockey, aerobics, golf, badminton, cricket, athletics, softball, touch, harriers, table tennis, bowls and orienteering.

Prepare to be deafened by the cheers of your schoolmates as you participate for your house group in big sporting events such as the cross-country, athletics and swimming.

Tahuna has almost 50 sports teams to choose from outside school hours. This is a great chance to socialise, learn new skills and compete against others of the same age group, with a focus on fitness, fun and fair play.

Swimming, snorkelling, diving, kayaking and aqua-pass activities are among the attractions at Moana Pool, where you learn to have fun and stay safe in the water. The school’s swimming sports is an annual highlight.

Hit the slopes! Every year a weekend skiing trip is organised for keen skiers.

Tahuna’s expansive grassed area with synthetic cricket wicket, gymnasium, basketball, tennis and fives courts are fantastic facilities for whatever sport you could wish to play.
