Room 9 Rock Climbers!

Last week, Room 9 were lucky enough to head out to Long Beach for their second rock climbing experience! We had beautiful weather and such a fun day!

Room 9 ventured out to Long Beach last week to do some serious rock climbing, on real rocks!! The class were split into two groups; climbers and cave explorers.

The climbers went with our awesome instructor, Tim, and our amazing parent helpers. They learned how to be prepared for climbing using the correct gear, how to belay and many climbed to the top of the rock wall! Go Room 9!!

The cave explorers headed down the other end of the beach. They explored the cave and told spooky stories in them. Then they played games of cricket, touch, and built sandcastles on the beach.

Both groups came together at lunch time for sausages on the barbecue and chocolate! They were delicious!

Everyone gave the climbing a go and got up the rock wall, which was an awesome effort from the students in Room 9. They had a great day at the beach and out in the sun.
