Boyes' Racers!

It was like The Fast and the Furious this week in  Design Tech  as Year 7 students designed and created their own Down Hill Racers.

The goal was to build a successful  Down Hill Racer, a gravity powered vehicle capable of great speeds down a ramp. Good marks were awarded for a well functioning design including their own creative look.

You also had to understand how to create a step by step set of instructions to make your racer, which included descriptions, materials and photo's.

You had to modify your design and record the stages of your developments to improve your racer and watch your work, getting better and better as you go through the process.

Design tech was a fun way to learn how to construct a momentum driven gravity mobile. I know lots of students enjoyed learning about gravity racers thanks to Mr Boyes.
