This week Room 15 has been focusing on rising sea levels and what we could do to help. This is because we are looking at what Dunedin would be like in the year 2040. We read the Sa’anapu-tai article which is in Samoa and effected by the sea level rising. We learnt about tsunamis and other things that might happen if the sea levels keep rising!

In Samoa a lot of people live in fale's which is a simple thatched hut, although they are not the best for safety if there was a tsunami or a flood.

Miss Walsh let the class go on co-spaces and design a house that would be more safe and stable. Here are some pictures of Room 15’s fale's!
