Looking ahead to term 3

Term three is shaping up to be a busy but exciting term for our Year 7's

Year 7's have certainly had an interesting first half of the year with many changes in this term. It has been great to see extra curricular activities and sports starting back up.

We will be starting puberty in the first few weeks of the term. A parent meeting will be held on Tuesday 21st of July 7:00pm in the Performing Arts Room. The meeting is to show you the programme we deliver and to answer any of your questions or concerns.

Next term all Year 7's will be going swimming with their teams starting week 2. Swimming consists of a 30 minutes swimming lesson and 30 minute activity lesson. If you are able to help with swimming please let your child's classroom teacher know. You won't be required in the water just to support at the wave pool, kayaking or deepwater in the old dive pool.

We are also going to be busy building our models for the 2040 project which will be launched at the Polytech Hub in week 7. So head on down there to look at the Otakou Cluster's presentations.

There will be many Year 7 classes starting their picture book unit next term as well as the WONDER Rocket Challenge.

Now is a good time to check in with your child and replenish their stationery, for example rulers, pens, pencils.

Enjoy the holiday break and well deserved break.
