Some excellent creative writing that has been shared lately.

The girl looked down and let her eyes wander over the tracks. She lifted her head and stared out following the rails until they faded into the distance. She looked behind her the tracks went on and on, she realised with no tunnels or turns, Just plain straight rails that looked old and rusted. She sat down, she would wait for a train to come she decided, and catch a ride out of here. She realised how weird she would look if anyone saw her here. A young 13 year old girl sitting in the middle of nothing. She took her cellphone out of her pocket. It read no reception She held it up to the air “ come on “ she muttered. She sighed nothing happened. she shoved it back in her pocket and looked up, the sky was slowly darkening. She looked back down the tracks, nothing. She listened, she heard a sound and hope flared inside her. but nothing came. She sighed. the sky was dark and cloudy and she forced herself not to think about the dark night that was nearly here.
