Mr Lousley and 5 Tahuna Y7 students have teamed up with Northern Territories, Queensland and New South Wales education departments in i-see to create opportunities for international collaboration.

Aria McFelin, Eleanor Jenks, Hain McDougall, Evie Sneedon and Charlie Haig are the New Zealand representatives for this pilot project.  They have had 4 sessions and are preparing for a Grand Challenge in 2021.

The students have been working alongside students from 3 states in Australia.  We are currently learning how to you the i-see programme and Tinker in a collaborative way.  The students will be put into groups and then have a set scientific challenge to undertake.

In 2021 we will be involved in a Grand Challenge.  This will focus on Smart Cities and also Cyber Security.

"I love the way we are being helped by not being help", remarked Evie.  The facilitators are focused on providing students with as much opportunity to fail fast and learn as a group by collaborating.  We are focused on being fearless risk takers in learning and utilise technology in the best possible way.

Aria and Eleanor and Charlie have loved 'meeting new people and working with kids from a different country and states'.  Hain has had many a laugh with his new classmates.

We are looking forward to 2021 and the amazing activities our students will be involved in.
