Ruby Tui was born on the 13 of December 1991 in Wellington and is 31 turning 32 in December. She has 1 younger brother named Dane. Her Mountain is Marion Mouat and Vaki Tui. Her Father is Samoan and she is of Irish and Scottish heritage on her Mothers side, but her parents divorced when she was eight.

Tui has won just about everything there is to win in women's rugby, including world cups, in 15s and sevens and a Gold medal for sevens at the last Olympics. She was named as the Woman's breakthrough 15's player of the year at the 2022 World cup rugby tournament. Her medals are Rugby Sevens 2016, Olympics and 2020 Olympics also the 2022 Rugby world cup against England.

Tui joined the Black Ferns in November 2021. She played on the right wing. She is often described as the heartbeat of the New Zealand women's rugby sevens team because of her nature and natural leadership qualities.

Tui never had anything come easy. A fractured childhood was spent between homes. She knew that her life could go down two paths, and that the wrong one could be dangerous. Rugby was the force that guided her down the right path.
