Mapping with Robots

Room 6 has been using robots as part of their mapping and maths units this term.

On Friday Room 6 were able to put their mapping knowledge of grid lines, longitude and latitude into practice with the use of robots. We had some experts from Room 15 teach us how to start and program our robots to successfully make it through a grid maze using out topic and mathematical knowledge of turns, directions and longitude and latitude.  There was a lot of problem solving and teamwork during this session and the class are keen to have another go next week.  "I had a lot of fun programming and working with my friends. I am greatful to beable to do this at Tahuna. I hope we get to do it again" Nicholas Camp
