Tahuna Touch Rugby Success!

Champions for Year 7-8 grade, both girls and boys teams.

Tahuna have had a great Touch Rugby season, coming away with the top two prizes for their grade. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the coaches for this season, as well as the parents who were supporting. We would not have had the success we did without you.

The Albatross team had a nail biting final against Balmacewen, where they were able to come away with the win and the award for being the Year 7-8 Elite boys Champions. Although they were down at half time the boys fought back taking Balmac into a drop off, with the final try going to Tahuna at the 35th minute.

Tahuna was also awarded  as Year 7-8 Elite girls champions, which went to both the Tahuna Kiwi's and the Tahuna Kakapo's. Both these Tahuna girls teams were equal in points going into the final and had to play off against each other for the title. In the end the game was so close that no team scored, leaving a nill all score meaning that the two teams both earn the award.

Well done to every Tahuna team for having such success this season, I cannot wait to see what Term 4 will bring for us.
