How to reduce pollution

Mrs. Stuart has just come back from a trip to China. We were looking at her photos and some of them were very smoggy. As a class, we discussed how to reduce pollution in China. Here is some of our writing...

In some parts of China, the air is extremely polluted and they need to fix it. China is a beautiful place but its pollution is unappealing.

To reduce pollution you could plant some trees or take a bus instead of a car. The government or council could try to persuade citizens to use public transport or electric cars, or even better just bike or walk.

It's great that China has days where only cars with certain number plates can drive but electric cars would be even better. Electric cars don't take fuel you just need to charge them with a special power transferring battery thing. The next thing would be to get people to quit smoking. It's a simple way to stop a lot of pollution in one shot.

If everyone did those simple things eventually the air would look a lot more appealing. I think China has what it takes to get rid of its polluted air.
