Celebrating Pasifika

Seen here are 2 Year 8 students who have got up to sing with T.J. Tautua.

Year 8 classes are enjoying their Pasifika topic which has included hands on experiences at the Otago Museum and a visit from T.J. Tautua and Mrs Lale.  T.J. entertained with his musical skills and Mrs Lale shared some aspects of Samoan culture and the tsunami devastation her village in Samoa suffered several years ago.  Tahuna was also supportive in the fundraising for the rebuild.  One of the highlights of their visit was the explanation from Mr Lale on the significance of his tattooed legs and mana of the Matai.  This was a most interesting experience.
