Our interviews were held last week with a high turnout of parents and students attending. Positive comments regarding the new format were received from students, parents/caregivers and staff alike.
With Covid - 19 causing disruption to our early year programmes the midyear, Student Led Interviews were trialled as a new way of reporting to parents at this time of year. The students spent a lot of energy, time and thought putting together their slideshows and the process helped them to develop their confidence, critical thinking, written and oral language skills. The crucial three-way link between parent, teacher and student was more evident and provided an invaluable opportunity to discuss progress, engagement in learning and goals for the rest of the year.
We are currently conducting a review of our mid year reporting process collecting feedback from students, whanau and teachers. Please respond by 3 pm Friday 28 August.
If you have not had an an interview and would like one, please do not hesitate to contact the teacher or the school office to organise one.
