The All blacks are about to break out their famous haka "Kapo o Pango Sunday morning as they take on the Australians. This challenge has been a key feature in the success of our National team over our enemies.
During Marae week Year 7 classes also broke into haka in a huge 'haka off'. Class versus class, mate versus mate......and what a sight it was. Each leader had to bring his class onto the tennis courts and impress the judge with their version of UTAINA. Veins popping, screaming, slapping and even the odd poi thrown in there from one class to add a little extra. The eventual winners were rooms 17 and 8 but special mention must go to the performance of Room 18s leaders who were....as the judge said " Awesome". Can you imagine 180 lads all performing a haka at assembly? Well our Year 7s did last week and they were simply fantastic.
