Athletics day was held on Friday, 20th of October. A chance for our four houses to battle it out for house points and a chance to qualify for South Zones.

On Friday 27th of October, the annual Otago Primary and Intermediate School Tennis Tournament was held at Logan Park.

Last term, we (Tehya and Ngaio) travelled to Alexandra to trial for 13th and 14th grade National Age group for Lower South Island rep girls.

Tahuna A waterpolo team entered into the South Island tournament over the weekend. We were faced playing teams all over the South Island, in a bid to win a trophy.

This term the students at Tahuna have been writing songs in music. Some of the students have had the opportunity to record their song with Mr Breese and uploaded to soundcloud.com for the world to hear.

Room 1 was grateful for the beautiful sunshine on our recent visit to Long Beach. Students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to utilise the skills they learned previously on the rocks. Everyone faced a challenge, enjoyed the sunshine, BBQ lunch, treasure hunt and beach cricket.

The dumplings prepared by the travellers with the help of Harry and friends today were a big hit at lunchtime. The sausages and bread were not in demand with dumplings and clams (from Southern Clams) on the menu. Lots of excitement brewing

During the first week of term 4 Tahuna will host a Chinese Immersion Day. The day will be filled with fun activities that 12 schools from the Otakou Mandarin Cluster will attend.
