Tramp

The bus pulled up at Outram Glen and we were all excited to start our tramp.

Our first destination on our class camp was the Outram Glen walking track. This track ran along the river and it had lots of steep up hill and down hill parts.

The track was filled with sharp rocks to navigate but we were all pleased to arrive at the river end for lunch!

Along the way we saw native stinging nettle. We also saw lots of birds but the friendliest were the fantails. There was a competition to see if we could get a fantail to land on our arm and one almost landed on Hannah’s dads arm.

We also made rock towers on the river bed. The highest one had 23 balancing rocks.

We were all hot and sticky when we reached the bus but excited to continue onto camp.
