Room 6 Science Trip

On Thursday Room 6, 13 and 14 went on a science trip to the Otago Museum and the Otago University Physic's department.

On the 13th of June, we went to the Otago museum and University. We had a blast doing all sorts of fun and interesting things. The first thing we did was hop on the bus to the Otago museum.

At the Museum we got to do fun things like look at the tornado machine, earthquake machine, and flood recreation. We discussed climate change and come up with ideas for how we can help. Our ideas included big ones like reducing fossil fuels and smaller changes we could do to help like not using so much wrapping in our lunch boxes.

We had two sessions at the Physics department where we looked at circuits and light boxes followed by making planets and exploring graphs using a motion sensor.

Our favorite activity from our trip was using the vandagraph which created some very funky hairstyles using electricity.
