WATER BUCKET CHALLENGE

“Yay!” “Woo Hoo!” We all cheered optimistically as the bucket was overflowing with water, it all happened about 10 minutes ago when me and my group had to fill up a massive bucket with water using smaller buckets, but there was one problem. The big bucket had holes in it!!

“READY!” “SET!” “GO!!” Four of us immediately started grabbing things to block the holes, like sticks, acorns, leaves and anything else we could get our hands on. While that was happening the rest of us grabbed the buckets and took them down to the creek and instantly started to fill them up. My heart was pounding like a drum as I filled and refilled the buckets up. It was such a mission to fill them up as the ground was slippery and wet, I nearly fell in the water!!

The buckets kept coming back so fast it felt like a cheetah was delivering them back!! We were working away encouraging others when, “7 minutes down and 3 to go!”

We all pushed it to the limit and working harder than before. “5,4,3,2,1!!!” Time’s up!” I felt a rush of relief and pride go through me like the ripple of the sea.

My arms felt as if they would drop off any second, and my clothes were soaking wet from all the water pouring out of the holes.

I will never forget Year 7 camp Mr Phillips.

It was unbelieveable!!!
