Golfing Success for Kairangi Koni.

Kai was competing in the 36 Hole Chisholm Links Open Event and showed the old boys how it's done!

The Event occurred on Sunday 12th September. This is an Otago Order of Merit Men’s Event. It was a star studded event with lots of Otago and Southland Mens Provincial reps from around the region. The conditions were tough and the greens unforgiving, shown in the field performance and scores. Kairangi, playing off a 4.5 handicap, the youngest player in the field, was amongst the highest handicaps in the field. He placed 4thon the Nett prizes, picking up $160. He shot rounds of 79 and 82 on the one day event, off the black tees. There were 52 players in the 36 hole event. Given that he was unable to represent the school at this years cancelled event the AIMs games in Tauranga, it was a good days work!
