South Island Waterpolo Tournament weekend

Tahuna A waterpolo team entered into the South Island tournament over the weekend. We were faced playing teams all over the South Island, in a bid to win a trophy.

On the 27\10\17 Tahuna sent a waterpolo team to Moana Pool to compete in the South Island Secondary School Waterpolo Tournament. Although we placed 7th in A division we all put in a team effort and enjoyed the experience.

We had also ended up tying with the winning team from Breens Intermediate in Christchurch, but although we’d tied, the end result all came down to point difference.

After the tournament, in prize giving I walked away with a small medal in box that read ‘Tournament Team’. Thanks to our coach Chris and Miss Leonard and the student council for fundraising and making the trip possible. (:

On Friday the 27th, myself and the Tahuna waterpolo team left Tahuna to go to the Moana pool and play a game of waterpolo against Casebrook A team who were very physical. We tried our best but we still lost the game 8-1. But I enjoyed the experience and thank you Chris and Miss Leonard for making the effort to come to the pool and coaching our waterpolo team and a massive thanks to the school council for putting in some of the money and making the whole trip possible.
