Tahuna Win Lit Quiz Final and prepare for Nationals

Last week Tahuna competed in the Otago Literary Quiz Finals held at D.N.I. The 'Lit Quiz', as it is known, is an academic challenge that tests out a students literary knowledge across a variety of genre.

 Tahuna entered two teams of four and, meritoriously, Tahuna B (Aaron Hewson, Madeleine Gray, Thomas Green and Tamara Freeland), won third place in a playoff. Tahuna A (Finn Cattaway, Oscar Te Morenga-Wakelin, Meg Oconnor and Will Butler) in a fiercely contested final, where there were no less than 5 teams leading at different times, won by 4 points from D.N.I. 2. The competition lasted just over three hours and the prize? A $1000 and a trip to the National Finals!  

Well done to both teams and we wish our A Team all the very best for the competition being held in Wellington on May 19th.
