Basketball Draw - 8 May

Welcome to the basketball season for 2023!

A huge thank you to our many coaches who have volunteered their time including our parents Markham Brown, Tara Taylor, Salote Rouvi, Steve Robinson, Cory Fitzgerald, and Rob Wells.  Thank you to Tim, who is one of our college teachers, and Roddy, Sean and Courtney, who are on staff. Finally, thank you to Joel who is doing a placement from the Otago Polytech.  We couldn't enter as many teams as we have without your support.  

I am looking for one more coach to either take the Thunder or the Breakers.  Please let me know if you are available for 30mins each week to look after them on a Monday night.    

Action Points

  1. The team lists are below. My apologies if you registered your child and their name doesn't appear below. Please email me if this is the case.
  2. We may have some late changes to the Year 7 boys teams as they have final trials tomorrow.
  3. All teams that go to tournaments, interschools etc will be re-selected from all of the players based upon attitude and performance.  
  4. Click on the link below each team name to register your child to their team.  This helps hugely speed up the scoresheet process between games if they are already registered.
  5. Uniforms will be given out on Friday at morning tea.
  6. Joint practices are - Monday Year 7 girls, Tuesday  Year 8 girls, Wednesday Year 7 boys, Thursday 8 boys.  I will be running an elite academy on a Friday morning at 8am in the near future for invited players.
  7. Pay the $70 or $60 (teams that have 11) when you are sent an invoice.  Please ask our friendly office team if you require support to make the payment.
  8. Our teams are now full, so please don't ask unless you are a Year 8 girl to join.

Year 7 Girls - Bye - Salote Rouvi

Sparks - Unfortunately, we have 11, which is not enough for two teams but too many for 1.  1 player will be rested each week if all 11 are available.  They will not play if they miss training on a Monday lunchtime.   $60 per player for this team for registration.
