Students enjoying the new design benches in workshop A

Six new mobile design benches have changed the way students can arrange their Technology learning environment.

Each design bench is made from part of the recycled side bench tops that have been well used by students for the last 50 years. They are on wheels with locks and can be moved easily by one student.

When they are not central to a part of a learning opportunity the heavy work benches with their heavy metal vices can be moved into the former positions of the side benches.

This creates a great open space for different technology tasks like testing their downhill racers or recording design information in their own E-Portfolios on the laptop.
