The new Cheery blossoms?
Beaten 5-1 last time when they played John McGlashan, Tahuna A pulled off a meritorious win in the Dunedin Interschool Badminton Final!
After a long Badminton season Tahuna managed a win in the Boys Premier final and a second in the Girls Premier final. With 6 squads this year, Tahuna enjoyed an excellent season of Badminton. Some results are still to be confirmed and medals will be handed out next term but Tahuna A Boys, in particular, enjoyed a dramatic reversal of form and after a points count back beat John McGlashan in a 3-3 draw but by 5 points overall (177-172). Lucas, Narayan, George and Romeo played some of their best badminton of the year and pulled off a highly enjoyable victory over their much vaunted rivals.
The parent support this year was outstanding and Kim Ogiers efforts must be mentioned and greatly appreciated. Well done to all squads and particularly Tahuna 4 who had lost all their matches going into the semis but then stepped up and won both their semi and their final. Well done!
