Commonwealth Games Comes to Tahuna
Junior classes from Musselburgh School were able to experience a "mini" Commonwealth Games with Room 4 students on Wednesday afternoon.
Room 4 was divided into 6 Commonwealth countries of the pupil's choosing, then team uniforms, flags, mascots and activities were prepared. The afternoon began with an indoor Opening ceremony, due to the adverse weather conditions, then a variety of entertainment was shared.
Musselburgh "minis" then rotated round the various activities and had a lot of fun. It was lovely to see our older students interacting with this younger age group and step up to responsibility well.
After the closing ceremony, medals and coins were presented, along with the sportsmanship trophy. These games were certainly played in the spirit of humanity, equality and destiny, the values of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
