The Camp Chronicles - Flying Fox
By Jack and Charles
The Flying Fox was very frightening to a lot of people. But with the help of Stuart and Pete it was a blast of a time. You had to walk over the bridges and climb up the (sort of) hill. You would then get help from Stuart to put on the harness, tuck in the rope that you would use to drag it back up and race down! Big gushes of hair would slam your body, but as you went lower, it was not as petrifying. But, this comes with a twist, as you go farther down you also pick up a good amount of speed. Meaning for some you would be going faster than the speed of light. Or it would feel lacklustre and boring. You would then hit yourself on a tire to prevent flying forwards, or if doing several loops and hurting yourself a lot is your thing then sure why not! Then you would be sent flying (and racing) back after hitting the tire then one of our magnificent parent helpers Pete would detach the harness and lower you down. Then you would grab onto that same rope and race up to the hill to secure your spot in the line so you could go again!
