Introduction

On the 16th of august 1975 in Raukokore bay, a living legend was born. The best filmmaker to come out of NZ , you know him you love him, the man the myth the legend, Taika Waititi.

Early age

From an early age (5) his parents divorced his mother robin cohen a mostly russian part jewish teacher and his father Taika Waititi a maori artis and a farmer. He mainly lived with his mother. With his father being Maori and his mother mostly Russian, part jewish. Taika refers to himself as “a Polynesian jew”. He attended Onslow College, then studied theater at Victoria University of Wellington where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1997.

Career

Now let's go to what Taika is most known for in the Thor movies. Now the first 2 were pretty good kinda mediocre and they were written and directed by Kenneth Branagh and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige but when Taika took over for thor 3 ragnarok it was so good he got Jeff Goldblum on the set it was funny well timed jokes and a really good story, and the new one thor love and thunder it was a perfect sequel he even added a easter egg for maori viewers Tūmatauenga is in the movie. He saved the Thor movies; he's also made classics like: Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and newer ones like :jojo rabbit.

Conclusion

So overall Taika Waititi is a funny respectable filmmaker he has inspired many and he’l go on to inspire much more. He is also one of a few people from NZ to have films go international .
