2025 Daffodil Day Fundraiser for the Cancer Society - Casual Friday this week!

One of the key fundraisers run by the Tahuna School Council every year is the Daffodil Day fundraiser for the Cancer Society. This year, students are supporting this important cause in multiple ways. See below for more details!

Here are the three ways that Tahuna students are supporting The School Council's 2025 fundraising drive for Daffodil Day:

  1. Throughout this week leading up to Daffodil Day, school councillors are going around classrooms selling daffodil pins for a gold coin donation. These will also be on sale at the School Office throughout this week.

  2. Thanks to the fantastic support of our Food Tech department (and the hard work of six of our School Councillors), specially baked cupcakes were on sale today for $2 each - these sold out quickly and sales from these raised around $200 for the Cancer Society

  3. This Friday 29th August is a Casual Friday - students are encouraged to wear a little (or lots!) of yellow to mark Daffodil Day. The School Council is providing prizes for some of the best dressed!

Many thanks in advance to students and whanau for their support of this fundraiser.
