Pink Shirt Day Fundraising Success!

As one of the main School Council fundraisers of the year, it was exciting to see the success of this year's Pink Shirt Day at Tahuna.

Huge numbers of Tahuna students embraced the spirit of Pink Shirt Day, whether by wearing a simple pink hair ribbon right through to some spectacular outfits.

Against a backdrop of Pink Shirt Day's important message about being upstanders against bullying, it was really pleasing to be able to raise over $800 for the work of the Mental Health Foundation.

Our main image shows our top eleven (we couldn't get it down to ten!) from the day. The top six from this group all won a goodie bag for their efforts - an official Cotton-On Pink Shirt Day tote bag filled with goodies. We've also included photos of a couple of classes to showcase the level of pink achieved across the school!

Thanks to all students and whanau for their support of this fundraiser. It was a fun day for all involved and we're pleased to be able to do our bit for an important cause.
