Aurora Science Fair

Congratulations to all our Year 7's

The Otago, Aurora Science Fair was held last week at the Otago Museum. Students from Year 7-13 submitted their science fair projects for judging. 

Our Year 7's submitted 28 projects and 22 of those projects won awards. Collectively the Year 7 students won a total of 36 awards. 

Special mention goes to our multiple award winners. These students produced some interesting projects. 

Darcy and Noah have both been approached by a Senior Lecture at the Psychology Department of the University of Otago to have their work showcased on their department facebook page.

Tawhiri won multiple awards for his work on the declining numbers of the Titi, including the Otago Institute for the Arts and Sciences, Mātauranga Māori Award.

Harrison  won the Premier New Zealand Marine Science for Gifted and Talented Year 7 or 8. His prize included a whole class trip to the Marine Science Centre later in the year.

A big thank you to all the teachers, parents and community who have supported our children in obtaining this level of success.
