Hockey Success at the James Hargest Interschool Tournament
We brought some of our hockey players back together for one last event for 2025 and it turned out very well!
Last week, 13 of our hockey players were lucky enough to attend the James Hargest Interschool Tournament. We knew we were in for a challenging day when we saw that we'd be playing three full 11-a-side games with a short turnaround between games.
In our first game, the team got their first points in a drawn game which then went to a penalty shoot-out (that was very nerve-wracking and we lost that narrowly).
Then we knew that we'd have to win our last two games to win the tournament. We had a strong win against D.N.I. which meant that we were still in with a chance as we faced the unbeaten James Hargest team.
The game against James Hargest was very hard-fought and we came out as 1-0 winners which meant that we won the whole tournament!
The way that the team bounced back after the earlier shoot-out disappointment was very impressive. The players should be very proud of this special achievement. A great day with a great result!
