Tahuna Netball 2019

We have had great interest shown so far by students wanting to join a netball team for Tahuna! We have held meetings and students should have brought home notices regarding trial dates and key information.

Key details:

*All students will be placed into a team.

*The season begins Term 2 16th May and goes through until 15th August.

*By attending trials they are committing to playing on a Thursday after school at the Edgar Centre, attending 1 training a week and paying fees of approximately $85. (This fee covers entry to Edgar and uniform hire)

* We rely on volunteers and each team must have a coach and provide an umpire every week.

YEAR 7 NETBALL:

Dunedin netball is launching an initiative that will assist the transition of Year 6 Netballers who have previously played 6v6 into their first year of 7v7 as a Year 7!

It’s called “ Year 7 Up 2 Speed”, and is to run at the end of this month, Sunday 31 March 10:30-12 at the Edgar Centre. The Workshop will outline positions to Year 7 players, but the focus will be getting them out on the court experiencing all the 7 positions, and learning more about them and becoming tactically attuned with 7v7.

Following on from this workshop we will be holding our Tahuna Year 7 Netball trials at the Edgar Centre 12:30-2pm.

Trials at the Edgar Centre, Saturday 30 March 2:30-4pm
