Otago Schools Virtual Triathlon

Sport Otago held a Virtual Triathlon event for business teams for the first time at Forsyth Barr Stadium last year and we are adding an event for Otago Intermediate (years 7 and 8) and High School (years 9-13) teams. The school's event will take place across Monday 28 March and Tuesday 29 March at Forsyth Barr Stadium with multiple 30-minute time slots schools can choose from to bring their students down.Schools can enter up to six teams across multiple year groups (multiple teams from one year group are fine, however please ensure all members of one team are from the same year group). 

Each team will be made up of three individuals who will either stationary bike 3km, stationary row 1.5km or run 1.5km around the stadium pitch. You can have a team of two, with one individual completing two legs of the event if you wish.

During your allocated 30-minute time slot, it will either be just your school present or one or two other school's depending on how many teams your school enters. There is a capacity of six teams competing at once. The cost for each school team of three to enter is $20/team. We will keep a live leader table on our website and there will be prizes for the best teams is each year group.Please note that all students over of the age of 12 years and 3 months will need to have a valid Ministry of Health Vaccination Pass to enter in this event.If you have any questions, please let me know.
