ANZAC Art

Written by Madi Menzies & Emma Chaney

After the school holidays we did some ANZAC Art.

First we traced a circle onto a piece of paper using a circle tracer made out of wood, probably made by Mr Tait. Then we chose a picture of a man in the army. After we found the one we wanted to trace we put it up to the window and traced it out. When we had finished tracing it out we had to colour the army men, tracing out in black vivid and colouring the man in. Then we had to pick the pastel colours we wanted then blended and smudged them on to the paper to create a gradient in the sky making it look like a sunrise. After doing all the colouring and stuff we cut it out following along the circle line. Then we gave it to Matua to staples it onto the wall.

Here are some photos of our work.
