The GutBuster
By Zara Ward
I woke up in my tent with a big fright i thought it was a fire alarm but it was just an alarm to get up.
Then we got told to wait at the flagpole and wait for instructions. Mr Phillips said it was the gut buster i had know idea what it was, and it was cold and wet in the morning too. finally everybody got up and we could start. so first Mr Phillips got us into teams, two competitive teams and two non competitive teams. my team was a good team i thought, so Mr Phillips yelled out go! And my teams walked down a little hill with our log i nearly slipped but lucky i didn't so my team started to jog. after the little hill we had a ditch coming and we weren't allowed to take our hands off the log it was hard but we got up and started to jog to the next obstacle. The next obstacle was going under a net now that was the hardest so far. Eventually we got out of the net and tried to catch up to the other team but after we got out of the net “oh no, there was a mud hole , a pile full of mud YuCK!” My feet were so muddy if only there was some water.. There was but it was muddy water and there was a small puddle. first we went through the little puddle and it cleaned my shoes . We got out but Ella V fell in but she was still holding on to the log so we jogged to the finish line and we got sprayed by water it was cold. “That wasn’t so bad.” but then mr Phillips said 3 more laps to go. “Oh No!”
