Ariki Cup.
Tahuna blew the competition away at Kettle Park.
On Tuesday the 10th of August a handful of Tahuna pupils participated in the Ariki Cup Cross Country at Kettle park. They ran 3.25km, around the grass fields. In the boys race, Joe Parkinson placed 1st closely followed by Noah McDowall in 2nd, both of Tahuna. Tahuna had 7 boys place in the top 10 and every pupil finishing under 22nd place out of 36 people. With this excellent result, the boys won the Year 7 and 8 Shield for the second year in a row! The girls came a commendable 2nd, losing to Columba College who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th! Well done to Genevieve Russell, who was the first Tahuna girl to get home, placing 5th.
