Achievements

We encourage students to share with us their achievements in sporting, cultural and academic pursuits outside of school.

South Island Colgate Games

Katie Wong was in the South Island Colgate Games (Athletics) the previous weekend and her team got the silver medal in the 12 year old girls 4x100m relay. Petra Milne (Year 7) was in that team as well. Great effort by the girls against tough Canterbury competition.

Southern Regional Junior Surf Championships

Tahuna students performed brilliantly in their events. Katie Wong won 3 medals (Gold in U12 Beach Flags, Gold in U12 Beach Sprints, Silver in U12 Cameron Relay). She also came 5th in tube rescue and the board relay.

Other results were: Wairamia Taratoa-Bannister (under 11s — 1st Cameron Relay, 2nd Beach Sprints, 2nd Beach Flags, 4th Board, 3rd Board Relay), Charlotte Underwood — Nicol (Under 12s 2nd Beach Flags, 1st Board Relay, 2nd Board race, 2nd Cameron Relay). Wairamia, Charlotte and Katie are pictured below holding the cup that the club won for best team in the South Island.
