Specialist Update: End of Term

Visual Art: The students have been creating art work based on Matariki.

Matariki is underpinned by three major principles. Firstly, remembrance - honouring those we have lost since the last rising of Matariki. Secondly, celebrating the present- gathering together to give thanks for what we have and thirdly looking to the future and promise of a new year. Enjoy viewing the year 8 and year 7 students working on their art and their finished pieces of art.

E-Tech: The students have been very busy making lots of wonderful creations on the 3D printers including catapults, jewellery stands, games and boxes.

Hard Materials: An exciting end to the term in the workshop. All students have finished up their rotation in hard materials and WOW some impressive outcomes!

It has been great to see some of our students really push themselves in this subject and great to see how their skills and confidence has grown throughout. Well done! Some epic looking phone holders have been constructed by all with a focus on the design process for these projects bringing it all together. Not to mention some well thought out and constructed bookends from some, good job team.

Food Tech: Students have been busy in the Food Tech room, assisting with preparation for afternoon tea for 80 people for the Oamaru exchange as well as whipping up some baked treats for our Matariki disco. Students have also been exploring foods from around the world including crepes, croissants, gelato, risotto, doughnuts and dumplings..just to name a few!
