Painting with scissors

During the first week of term 3 we were all inspired by the story and work of Henri' Matisse.

Firstly we read a picture book on the life of Matisse, how he got ill, could no longer use a paintbrush and found he could still be artistic with scissors.

We examined many of his artworks where he used scissors to cut geometric and organic shapes on coloured paper, then layered them.

We were all really impressed by the creativity on display in the Hub, but special congratulations must go out to Nemi Breitbarth, Noah Tod and Isabella Carey-Bennett for their amazing art.
