Dunedin Schools Orchestral Workshop 2016
Year 7 to 10 students from Dunedin gathered at the Kings and Queens Auditorium for the annual Orchestral Workshop. Students from Tahuna experienced the day for the first time.
Students from Tahuna who play Violin, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet with our itinerant music programme were invited to play. During the course of the day they experienced a range of workshop activities and had opportunity to play alongside other talented musicians within an orchestral setting.
Amelia, Liberty and Ellie were amongst the group of Tahuna students who attended. When asked what she enjoyed most Liberty responded "I loved the day and it was great to be able to be around others who a passionate about music like me". Amelia said, "I really liked the workshops and being able to be a part of a big group during the performance". Ellie had a great day and said "it was fun and I really liked being a part of the day".
The workshop is on each year and is a great opportunity for students to be amongst like minded peers.
