Pink Shirt Day is Friday 16th May!

The Tahuna School Council wants to let everyone know that Friday 16th May will be Pink Shirt Day at Tahuna.

Tahuna students have supported the Mental Health Foundation’s work through Pink Shirt Day for many years.

Friday 16th May will be a non-uniform day and students are encouraged to wear something pink if possible, even if it’s just a pink hair tie or pink socks. We’ll be giving out some prize bags of goodies to the top eight best dressed so feel free to get creative, go over the top and go all out to support this great cause.

In addition, the top eight best dressed will earn points for their Houses.

As always there are the official Pink Shirt Day t-shirts available at Cotton-On ($15 for kids’ sizes) but there’s absolutely no expectation that students need to get these. Cotton-On also has Pink Shirt Day tote bags and lapel badges (all $5).

Students are asked to bring a $2 koha on Friday 16th if they can as this is one of our major charity fundraisers for the year.

Thanks in advance to everyone for their support of this fundraiser.
