Extra support is available for students of Ngāi Tahu descent.

There are two types of funding avenues available for students of Ngāi Tahu. Learner Support Fund (Out of School Tuition) and Special Assessment Fund.

The Out of School Tuition fund will offer financial support to attend tutoring outside of school hours. The Special Assessment Fund is financial support to allow children to be formally assessed for specialist learning areas.

For your child to be eligible for tuition funding, they must be:

Registered with Whakapapa Ngāi Tahu;
Attending school; and
Aged between 5 and 21
