Have you tried fingerprint art?
As part of our Ko Wai Au (all about me/identity unit) our students have been writing all about themselves in a really unique way.
Over the last week we've been discussing who we are and why it's important we know about ourselves and each other.
To assist with this our students took their own fingerprints, these were enlarged and then the patterns and grooves were used to guide the pattern of student writing. Our students wrote about their families, holidays, goals and experiences, whatever they think is an important building block of their own identity.
Everybody's fingerprint is unique and their stories are unique. Now on display in the Hub the prints and the stories have merged to great effect.
