Room 19 Camp Day #2
No Rest For The Wicked!
After a fun-filled night with Mr Lousley we didn't want it to come to an end! We played games, ventured off into the dark, night to see glow worms (they were incredible), spent time star gazing and finished off with a game of spotlight. We finally hit the hay about 10:30pm. Mrs McBride turned up in the morning and we were all still in our tents. We heard a big 'cock-a-doodle-doo' and knew it was just about time to start our day. Once we were out of our tents, we were straight into it. Mrs McBride made up a story about the easter bunny dropping bombs all over our camp though the night and we had to find them before they activated. Using our position and orientation skills, together we worked as a team and found all but one bomb. It was challenging but fun and we enjoyed our treat after the mahi! Then it was straight into cooking brekky before setting off on another tramp. We did a few search and rescue role plays, learnt some survival skills and sung songs along the way. The afternoon was spent participating in team building activities, which included the confidence course, grass skis, log and tyres and air rifles. It's fair to say shooting and the log and tyres were a massive highlight for most!! After another long day of hard work and warm temperatures we voted for the water slide to make another appearance. This time we challenged Mrs McBride to race us down. After watching Mr Lousley, Richard and Kris zoom down it yesterday, how could she say no!! It was burgers and oven chips for dinner tonight and yummy apple pie for dessert. Now we wait patiently with excitement to see what Mr Lousely has in store for us tonight.
