SWIMMING SPORTS 2017
The four houses; Tane Mahuta, Mahuika, Takaroa and Tumatueka battled it out at the Annual Tahuna Swimming Sports, held on the final day of Term 1.
Competitive and Non-Competitive activities were offered throughout the first part of the morning. We mixed up traditional swimming strokes with some novelty races. At each event house points were up for grabs. From these events our Sport Leaders selected the best swimmers to participate in the freestyle relays at the end. Further points were given out in the "Fastest Year 7 (Ella McBride) and Year 8 (Mereana Martin) races".
All points were collated and the overall results for Swimming Sports were as follows....
1st = Tumatueka.
2nd = Takaroa
3rd = Mahuika
4th = Tane Mahuta.
Well done to all involved, staff and students, for a great day!! We hope you had fun!
