Design Tech Project

Rhys stands with pride with his project he constructed in Design Tech this week.

Rhys Abernetty of Room 20 created this shelf for his bedroom at school. 

"I constructed this shelf with white pine wood in Design Tech using panel pin nails and PVA wood glue. I'm looking forward to hanging this in my bedroom." He says proudly.

From a teaching point of view it is wonderful to see students designing and creating pieces they can use at home. I really enjoy viewing the projects the students design and cteate and the pride they show when talking about it.

On a personal note,  I still have projects from my children who have come through the Tahuna tech block. Treasures I will keep forever.
