Tahuna Ski / Snowboard Trip 2022

42 Tahuna Students were lucky enough to hit the slopes with their school mates at Coronet Peak on the first weekend of term.

The ski trip was a really great opportunity during our last year at Tahuna, to experience the slopes, the sights and the thrill of the moment with our friends.

Everyone had a great time no matter the skill level, because they had slopes and lessons for everybody. The lessons went for 2 hours and then you could keep practising and improving our skills for the rest of the day. Everyone got to ride the chairlifts and made massive improvements over the weekend.

One of my favourite things about the trip was that we stayed on the mountain at Otago & Southland Ski Lodges. We could walk straight onto the slopes and were able to go again and again.

The food on the mountain was surprisingly nice. The breakfast in the cabin was one of our favourite meals with a wide range of food like cereal, toast, eggs, bacon and spaghetti. Our home baking was also a treat during check in times to give us more energy for our time on the slopes.

The Weather and snow was incredible and everybody had an amazing time. A massive thank you to all the Teachers who were there to help us up the mountain.
