Room 11 - Class Treaty

Using Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a resource and guide for this session, we have made a treaty that we all agree to maintain.

As part of our journey into Year 8 we realised that we had new expectations and responsibilities for 2023. Ms Witana started by reading through a condensed and child friendly version of events of the Treaty of Waitangi. The next day we completed a Kahoot about all the information we had learned the day before.

After we had refreshed ourselves on some key information about the Treaty, We made our own class treaty. We all voted on what we thought was valuable to our learning.

To show our agreement, we drew selfies and these have been added to the edges of our class treaty. Thanks to Eli Griffiths for drawing a spectacular scroll for us!
