Daffodil Day 2026 - successful fundraising!

Our 2026 Daffodil Day fundraising efforts at Tahuna were amongst our biggest yet!

A huge thanks to everyone for their support of Tahuna's 2026 Daffodil Day fundraiser for the Cancer Society.

This is one of the fundraisers run by the Tahuna School Council during the year. This year we were determined to make a big success of this fundraiser and we're delighted with the results.

We took a multi-pronged approach to our fundraising efforts:

• during the days running up to Daffodil Day, school councillors sold pin-on daffodils in return for donations

• Mrs. Scott worked with a team of students to make and then sell themed cookies and cupcakes - at morning tea on Friday these sold out quickly!

• we ran a Casual Friday with a yellow theme and the School Council supplied some prizes for some of the many best-dressed

• for the third consecutive year, we ordered in some of the fresh daffodils offered by the Cancer Society and sold them to Tahuna staff

• we haven't added up the total funds raised across these four areas yet but it looks like we've raised over $1000 for the Cancer Society

Many thanks to our students for getting involved in the Casual Friday, to Mrs. Scott and her helpers for their efforts, to the group of school councillors who worked so hard on this and to everyone who donated to this important cause.
