Y6 Extension Science off to a sticky start!
On Thursday 20 Year 6 students from nearby schools gathered in the Tahuna Science Lab to begin this years Extension Science programme.
This week Extension Science kicked off to an excellent start! We had a go at making our own Agar jelly for a Petri Dish and then learnt how to gather bacteria swabs without contaminating the samples. While we left our germs to brew, we looked at the heat transfers that occur when popcorn pops - and the aftermath math wasn't too bad either! We are looking forward to what next week has in store, checking up on our bacteria growing and more sticky and delicious sessions.
